About Barcelona Trip
Barcelona Trip is an independent travel planning guide dedicated to Barcelona and Catalonia. Our mission is to help visitors experience the city authentically — from the Eixample's Modernisme masterpieces to the seafood bars of Barceloneta, the Catalan hinterland of Montserrat and the Costa Brava's cliff-top coves.
Our editorial stance
We call ourselves an "honest planner" because we think most travel sites bury the things you actually need to know. We tell you that Sagrada Família both-tower tickets sell out 8–12 weeks ahead in summer. We explain that most of Park Güell is free. We warn you that La Rambla restaurant prices are rarely worth it, that sangria is not a Catalan drink, and that flamenco shows are Andalusian — not Catalan. Every guide includes real prices in euros, realistic transport times and frank tourist-trap warnings.
Our cultural framing is Catalan-first: we use Catalan place names where they are standard (Sagrada Família, Park Güell, El Born, Gràcia) and we celebrate local traditions — castellers, sardana, vermouth culture, cava — rather than recycling generic Spain tropes.
How we earn revenue
Barcelona Trip is a free resource. We earn commissions when you book tours and activities through our affiliate partnerships with GetYourGuide and Viator (a Tripadvisor company). When you click a booking link and complete a purchase, the platform pays us a small commission — you pay exactly the same price as booking direct. This model keeps our guides free and updated.
